Anthony Williams, Chief Executive Officer
Anthony has extensive experience and a proven track record in clinical research and business development.
As a team leader with international, national and regional roles, Anthony has expertise in research management, financial modelling, corporate governance, intellectual property management and contract development. He is an output focused operator with exceptional project management, communication and negotiation skills.
He has worked in the area of sleep and alertness for over fifteen years and has developed extensive networks and relationships across industry and academia, both in Australia and internationally.
WeeMong Wong, Chief Financial Officer
WeeMong joined Alertness CRC as Chief Financial Officer in September 2014. He brings more than 15 years of financial and management experience to the consortium. Prior to joining Alertness CRC, WeeMong served as Regional Financial Controller for AVEVA Asia Pacific, the world's leading engineering software provider to the plant, power and marine industries. During this time, he played a key role in all facets of the organization’s financial strategy, planning, management, treasury and accounting in the Asia Pacific Region. WeeMong started his professional career with Ernst & Young in auditing and consulting roles before moving into the upstream oil and gas industry as regional finance manager with Baker Hughes Incorporated.
WeeMong is an Australian Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and has a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from RMIT University.
Dr Andrew Tucker, General Manager Research and Development
Dr Tucker joined the Alertness CRC after spending more than a decade in the biotechnology industry developing proprietary drowsiness detection and fitness-for-work algorithms based on new methods for measuring eye and eyelid movements. This research led to the development, scientific validation and successful commercialisation of driver fatigue monitoring technology.
As a Research Scientist and General Manager, Dr Tucker brings extensive industry experience working with a wide range of stakeholders across industry, government, defence and academia translating applied research into practical evidence-based outcomes to enhance alertness management for a variety of occupational settings.
Dr Tucker received his Ph.D. in Psychology & Psychophysiology from Swinburne University in 2006. He continues to be involved in applied research focusing on the measurement of human performance impairment and fitness for duty.
Ms Susan Waterer, Communications Manager
Susan has over 13 years' experience in the communications and marketing field, many of which have been spent in the construction and facilities management industries.
Susan's skillset covers all aspects of internal and external communication including content management and production, brand management, project management, media relations, stakeholder relations, intranet management, website management, collateral production, and the development and implementation of communications plans and strategies.
Some of Susan's most notable achievements include the management and implementation of new websites, the project management and editing of a 200-page corporate history book, the successful management of three rebranding exercises, and the establishment and implementation of effective internal and external communications procedures.
